		To the left is a map of Ulverston showing the Statue and the new location of the Laurel and Hardy Museum which relocated to new bigger premises on the 19th April 2009 and below the statue in all its glory looks great doesn`t it?
The picture above shows Marion Grave and Lucy Cubin , the Wife and Daughter of Bill Cubin the former Mayor of Ulverston who had the original idea for the statue but sadly passed away before completion , discussing the statue with Ken Dodd	The Statue by sculptor Graham Ibbeson has now been unveiled by the great Ken Dodd on the 19th April 2009 and presented to the people of Ulverston by Eric Woods on behalf of The Sons of the Desert the worldwide Laurel and Hardy appreciation society who raised £60,000 over 16years
