Laurel
And Hardy - Be Big / Laughing... |

were filmed in English, Spanish and French. |

Laurel
And Hardy - Flying Deuces [1939] |
A film they made in 1939 for an
independant producer called Boris Morros , Ollie met his last wife on this
film |
 |
Laurel
And Hardy - March Of The Wooden... |
On the DVD: March of the Wooden
Soldiers on disc reproduces the original black and white print in 4:3 ratio
with pristine clarity; the mono soundtrack has similarly worn well. The potted
biographies of Laurel and Hardy are too brief to be worthwhile, but the
inclusion of the 1915 short Hustling for Health--among the earliest of Stan
Laurel's film appearances--is a valuable bonus |
 |
Laurel
And Hardy - Way Out West [1937] |
Widely regarded as one of the Boys
best features with lots of great gags and lots of Stans brand of "White Magic"
ie lighting his thumb to light his pipe , watch for the look on Ollies face
when HE manages to do it. |
 |
Laurel
And Hardy - The Music Box |
This DVD comes advertised with two
silent shorts but they're not silent. "Busy Bodies" is fun but "Towed in a
Hole" is marvellous, one of their very best. The Music Box can be watched in a
colorized version too, if that's your type of thing. |
 |
Laurel
& Hardy - Sons of the Desert... |
The Greatest Laurel and Hardy Feature
Film Ever....Nuff Said! |
A word of warning about DVD`s you will find lots of collections
of L&H films on DVD but the majority seem to be solo silent performances
from Stan or Ollie or have very little to do with L&H , so take
care. |
